About
Cyclicart
Trust ...
For the last 5 years (along with Cafe Creme, Prangsta, the former
COffee shop) 308 New Cross Road has been at the beating heart of local
'cultural' life. It has been
known variously as: Rubbish Fairy, Gosh Design, and now
Rubbish & Nasty. Under the glare of the
Cyclicart Trust volunteers, folk of all sorts up/down-and
coming, have been industriously beavering away at: art, music of all
kinds from jazz to rock to dub, performance, painting, design, poetry,
and textile crafts. The Trust has hosted numerous
perfomances, exhibitions, and student placements, and has supported
designers and musicians who have now made it (and others), as well as
start-ups, and helped people training and studying (including creative
students from Goldsmiths College, and Camberwell College of Arts).
People with no career ambitions are also welcome to both use the
facilities and contribute to the Trust's work.
